Gender, Sexuality and Faith Forum
The 2nd annual Windsor Pride-Run for Rocky Gender, Sexuality, and Faith Forum is a full day forum of workshops and speakers intended for primarily adult service providers, educators, high school and college level students, parents, faith leaders, and counsellors. Explore how faith can be a unifying force in homes, schools, and church communities for LGBTQ+ children, students, clients, and members. Join in open discussion on how LGBTQ folks & families can move through their faith journey without shame and guilt. The day will also help agencies, schools and places of worship create more accepting and safer places for their members or clients.
Pastor Sandra (Sam) Morris will begin the day as the Keynote Speaker. Pastor Sam is a committed stigma smasher who has been a Minister with the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, which has been at the vanguard of civil and human rights movements by addressing important issues such as racism, sexism, homophobia, ageism, and other forms of oppression. She lives and preaches by the MCC Denomination Core Values of Inclusion, Community & Spiritual Transformation. Ticket price includes lunch."
