Sitting at the geographic and economic intersection of Canada and the United States, our region is a superhighway of diverse cultures, nationalities, and experiences that result in a place that's got it all. Walk, blade, or bike along  our magnificent riverfront. If the beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds or the public art in our sculpture garden don't impress you, the breathtaking view of the Detroit skyline just across the river will. Or you can enrich your mind and senses in a stunning setting by taking in a performance of the Windsor Symphony or strolling through the internationally acclaimed Art Gallery of Windsor.

Our true beauty, though, is our people, especially our resilience, sense of justice, and selfless generosity. You'll see it in the John Freeman Walls Historic Site & Underground Railroad Museum, which celebrates black history or the distillery whose founder  Hiram Walker took on and conquered Prohibition. You'll also see it in our many festivals such as Carrosel of Nations where the whole city celebrates its ethnic diversity through food and music, or annual Pride festival where friends and loved ones stand shoulder to shoulder in support and unity, not to mention fun and sassy entertainment and one heck of a dance party. Most of all, though, is how you will see it in the small ways: a friendly hello from passerby who actually makes eye contact or the jovial sharing of a joke from a stranger while standing in a line. You'll be struck by our unassuming nature and our inability to put on airs which was shaped by the road behind us. Sure, it gave us a few bumps and bruises, but you will soon see how it has also given us a certain authenticity, making you feel right at home.
